How we can help you
First Step helps people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems, including depression and anxiety disorders. Our services include:
- Assessment - understanding your experience and how you have been feeling
- Signposting - to other mental health services if we feel that you need a different type of help or maybe to a good source of self-help information
- Talking therapies - such as counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), are designed to help you to change some of the ways you might be thinking and behaving that may be keeping you stuck feeling depressed or anxious. Our talking therapies will differ in length of appointment time, frequency and how we would work depending on the nature of your problem and your preference.
