CPFT vacancies promoted on new Choose South Cumbria website
Published: 8th May 2015
Cumbria Partnership vacancies in South Cumbria are now being advertised on a new website set up to attract a range of professionals to live and work in the area. Choose South Cumbria is promoting vacancies at large employers in the area including BAE Systems, Siemens, Glaxo SmithKline and the NHS. The website is being advertised nationally in the British Medical Journal, Nursing Times and in large regional newspapers such as the London Evening Standard and Manchester Evening News. A virtual careers fair is being held next week and a number of our staff have volunteered to hold webcasts and Q&A sessions for candidates interested in our vacancies.
Dr Andy Brittlebank, Medical Director for Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust said, “Attracting health professionals to come and live and work in Cumbria is a very real challenge for us, we have a number of key clinical vacancies that we are looking to fill. Joining forces with our partners in the public and private sector to promote South Cumbria as a destination of choice for professionals is a fantastic opportunity.”
Lynn Marsland, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development said, “I really hope that Choose South Cumbria will inspire people to come and live, work and learn in the area. I know from personal experience and hearing from so many staff that moving to Cumbria has been a great choice for them. I’m very grateful to those staff who have supported this initiative by giving up time to man the virtual careers fair and by sharing their stories about why South Cumbria is a great place to live and work.”
A number of our staff from a range of professions have been interviewed and photographed to support the site, read their stories here.
