Furness respiratory team holding drop in sessions
Published: 21st November 2014
If you are regularly breathless doing everyday activities why not drop in to see the Furness respiratory team for advice on how you can manage your condition?
Members of the Furness Respiratory Team are holding a drop-in session at The Forum, Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness from 10am-2pm on 19th November to raise awareness of World COPD Day.
The theme this year is ‘It's Not Too Late'. Staff will be on hand to give advice, support and information to the public about COPD and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. COPD is a lung disease in which breathlessness gradually gets worse.
At the drop in session in Barrow there will also be hand-outs and leaflets on offer and staff hope to highlight the early signs and symptoms of COPD, as well as the treatment available.
The team hope to highlight the early signs and symptoms of CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE, and also the treatment available.
The staff will be able to give advice and support and information regarding COPD and this includes the Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme.
To promote this year's World COPD theme ‘Its Not Too Late' all respiratory teams are highlighting the need to contact your GP or Practice Nurse regarding concerns in respect to any respiratory symptom a person may have even if they have had mild symptoms over a period of time.
