New drop in service to support dementia

The Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) with support from the Alzheimer’s Society have developed a new drop in service for those who are affected by dementia.
The drop in service has been developed after it was identified there is need for support after an individual is initially diagnosed with dementia. The service is also offering support to those who care for dementia sufferers.
Members of the CMHT will offer support, provide guidance and give information on other relevant services that are available, which will be useful for both those with the condition and their carers.
The drop in service will be held once a month at Valley View, Lower staff hostel. More information and dates will be available soon.
