New recruitment event for nurses
Published: 28th November 2014
Newly qualified and experienced nurses are invited to come along to Whitehaven Golf Club on Wednesday 13th November to find out how your skills can make a real difference to the people of Cumbria.
Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are giving nurses the opportunity to find out more about working for the Trust and are showcasing some of their current opportunities at a recruitment event.
The Trust has a number of career opportunities in West Cumbria including in community hospitals, community nursing, mental health inpatient units and mental health community teams.
Come and see what Cumbria Partnership can offer you, anytime between 10am and 4pm. No appointment is necessary and there will be the opportunity to be interviewed on the day, so please bring originals and copies of all appropriate qualifications including NMC registration and documentation including passport, 2 official letters with address (no more than 3 months old) and driving license (both photo and paper license).
Lindsey Sharpe, a staff nurse at Cockermouth Community Hospital explains why she chose to become a nurse. “I started as a health care assistant and then qualified as a nurse 5 years ago. I enjoy working in a community hospital as we get to have one to one time with patients. Every day is rewarding when we get to see a patient improving or getting well enough to go home. Often it’s the little things that can make the biggest impact and feel the most rewarding, like knowing an elderly person is happier because of something we have done, and being able to make their experience of being in hospital more comfortable.”
Cumbria Partnership provides community health services across the county, including mental health, learning disabilities, health visiting, school nursing, physiotherapy, podiatry and many more.
Nursing can be a very rewarding career choice, making a difference to patients’ lives every day. The Trust offers training and development to enhance your skills and help you make the most of your career. NHS terms and conditions apply to all the vacancies and there will be a robust induction. The Trust also offers a preceptorship programme to help newly qualified nurses transition from students and develop their practice.
For more information please contact Victoria McDade on 01228 603072 or pop along and find out more on the day.
