Reducing Dental Decay in Cumbria

The Oral Health Improvement Team and Special Care Dental Service have successfully trained 11 dental nurses from dental practices throughout Cumbria to deliver Practice-based Prevention and Fluoride Varnish Application.
To celebrate their success certificates were presented by Colin Cox(Director of Public Health),Eric Rooney(PHE Dental Public Health Consultant), and Julie King(Chair of Cumbria Local Dental Network). Reducing dental decay in Cumbria is the key objective of this increased capacity to apply fluoride varnish along with the coordinated delivery of oral health messages through the Smile4Life Programme.
