Severe weather causes disruption

Cumbria floods 2015 - latest information and service disruptions
As expected the severe weather is causing significant disruption across the county and continuing this evening.
The Met Office have issued a Red weather warning for rain in place until 06.00am tomorrow (Sunday) and an Amber weather warning for wind is in place for parts of the County.   Cumbria Police have declared a major incident as  many roads are closed with worst affected areas including Keswick, Appleby and Kendal.   Our on call managers are liaising with our partners and the police to monitor the situation.
Our staff and services are coping well, the only service affected is the minor injury unit at Keswick Hospital which is closed.  We have staffing in place this evening however due to the disruption to the transport network, staff may struggle to get into work for shifts.  If you live locally to your workplace, it would be appreciated if you could check in to see if enough staff are able to get to work.
Please check weather and traffic reports and listen to Radio Cumbria for the latest information.
