Success Regime Publishes Progress Report

The West, North and East Cumbria Success Regime has unveiled an emerging vision that sees the area becoming an international centre of excellence for integrated health and social care provision in rural, remote and dispersed communities.

The vision is contained in a Public Progress Report, published today, that outlines the new thinking emerging from the Success Regime’s clinical work groups. In addition to a number of new initiatives the progress report also addresses some of the difficult challenges the West, North and East Cumbria health community faces over the coming months and offers some emerging options on these too. These emerging options include:

• Options around the future of maternity services at West Cumberland Hospital
• The possibility of doing more elective surgery at West Cumberland Hospital
• Optional approaches to the way in which we develop integrated care communities and community hospitals
• And options that address the delivery of children’s services

The progress report and further information can be found on the Success Regime website here
