Sustainability and Transformation Plans

The Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) for West, North and East Cumbria has been published by the health and care system today. Earlier this month the STP for the south of the county and Lancashire was published.

The two STPs are part of the 44 STP ‘footprints’ that have been established across England to deliver the NHS Five Year Forward View vision of better health, better patient care and improved NHS efficiency.

The STP for West, North and East Cumbria is aligned to the proposals laid out through the local NHS Success Regime. The NHS locally is currently consulting the public on some clinical changes developed through the Success Regime as part of the Healthcare For The Future consultation.

Both sets of plans have been developed locally and set out a longer term and broader ambition for improved health and wellbeing as well as for health and care services locally.
